Irene M. Kuechler, nee Schellinger of West Bend died on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Ivy Manor at the age of 90 years. She was born on June 10, 1922 in the Town of Addison to the late Paul and Anna (nee Breuer) Schellinger.

Following her marriage to Jerome P. Kuechler on November 7, 1942 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton, the couple settled in Allenton. During her married life, she worked at various businesses in Allenton including the Red Owl Store, the United States Post Office and the former Allenton State Bank. On September 1, 1988, she and Jerome moved to Cedar Ridge Apartments where they made their home. They were among the first residents of the Cedar Community Apartments.

She was a member of the Apostolate of Suffering.

Jerome predeceased September 15, 1993.

Survivors include 2 children Carol (Tom Tesch) Kuechler of Minneapolis, MN and Mark (Diane) of Spotsylvania, VA; 2 grandchildren Michael Tesch of Minneapolis, MN and Aaron (Joanne Kraft) Tesch of Tuscon, AZ; 1 great-grandson Jacob William Tesch of Tuscon, AZ; 5 brothers and sisters Raymond (Ellen) Schellinger of Kenosha, Florence Champ of Denver, CO, Lucy Schoepp Malban of San Diego, CA, Peter (Joan) Schellinger of Marine on St. Croix, MN and Eleanor (Kenneth) Hyland of Hartford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law James Champ and Paul Malban.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 27 at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 126 North 8th Avenue, West Bend, WI 53095. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church only on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Burial will be in Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee.

The family has requested memorials to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
