Jerome "Jerry" Ziegler

Born: February 25, 1929
Died: April 20, 2013

Jerome (Jerry) Ziegler entered a new life on April 20, 2013. He was born in Plymouth, Wisconsin to Alfred J Ziegler and Adele Ziegler on February 25, 1929, right on the kitchen table in their home.

Jerome was educated at DeSales High School and St. Frances School of Theology in Milwaukee where he achieved Masters of Divinity. He then served as a Catholic Priest in West Allis and West Bend, Wisconsin during which time he met the love of his life, Jane (Parker) and left the priesthood to raise the family he so cherished.

He later became coordinator of Health and Human Services at Moraine Park Technical Institute. Jerome then joined Prudential Insurance as a registered representative where he wrapped up his career.

Jerry will be remembered most by his infectious smile and remarkable ability to make people laugh until no end. His patience was limitless and his generosity had no bounds.

Jerry enjoyed spending time with his best friend and wife Janie, raising his family, sharing good humor, making daily visits to the grocery store, cooking and acting in plays. He was passionate about his simple cottage at Cabot’s Cove which was truly near and dear to his heart. It was his favorite place to spend quality outdoor time with his family breathing in the fresh Door County air.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jane, brother Harold, daughter Meghan (Mike Degen), son Jeremy (Tara), grand daughter Hanna and step daughter Tanya Borgwordt.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Eugene and Alfred.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception at 406 Jefferson Street, West Bend at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24th. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

The family requests that any donations be made to a charity of your choice.
